Happy New Year in Valencia

Happy New Year in Valencia

Looking for the right party, a festive menu or a free dance event and fireworks? There’s lots to choose from in Valencia. Clubs will offer their tickets online which is cheaper but most tourists will buy theirs at the door. Some drinks are always included.

My favorite clubs are:

MYA/L’Umbracle
LE PREMIERE DISCO
LA 3 CLUB
LA POSADA DE LAS ANIMAS

Plaza del Ayuntamiento

Restaurants in Valencia will mostly sell their ‘Menu de Noche Vieja’ with prices varying in between 40 and 100 euros. This includes lots of fancy food, alcohol, cava and the typical 12 grapes. Reservations are mostly needed.

For those who don’t want to overspend their budget, a local tapas bar might be a better option. You will also find many restaurants closed, to celebrate their own New Year’s Eve in style.

Our Town Hall

Our Town Hall

Absolutely new in town! A FREE NEW YEAR’S EVE DANCE EVENT at Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Between 23.00 – 01.30 Spanish DJ’s, fire works and the countdown at the beautiful clock of our town hall, will show Valencia’s true colors.

Make sure to participate in the Spanish tradition of putting one grape at a time in your mouth, each moment the bell bangs its 10 last ones of the old year to be. A little bottle of Cava, a ring in your champagne glass and you’re all set to go. Supermarkets sell special canned grapes and little bottles of Cava for this occasion.
